This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

No C&C?

Well i'm working on the animation now, which will be my first complete animation, about 5 min long.

Here an up close of the gunuser added image This is really my first gun.

Oh and i'm redoing the chrarcter setup for better control for animation.

I don't think I told you guys this before, but I'm trying to do an in game style, so that why it looks simple.

cool! user added image i like the first pic on this page. its been a moth since i last visited this thread....now it looks so much better that you have a wacko and a girl wanting to gun him down.... very cool.

one thing i might add though... the glow on the tip of the barrel. right now it seems like a lightbulb is on the tip. maybe add some color to it...warm, like red-orange-yellowish something. and it would be great of you can shape it ro that it would really look like fire from a gun. well that's what strikes me right now......and i like the expression on the girl's face

Hey guys, how it going.

frayo,

Thabks man! Yeah I know it's too bright and need more color like red etc on the barrel area. I'm working on it.

NY152,

Thanks, I'll see what I can do about the tvuser added image

Right now I'm still working on the chrarcter setup, basc on a maya book called (Maya Character Creation: Modeling and Animation Controls. And holy sh*t this might be too much of a setup for my first scene or complete animation! Or maybe it's just me, for all I know you all in here could be seting up your chrarcters like this, I don't know.

To see what I'm doing take a look at these pics:
Tell me if this is overkill?

P.S. I'm only haft way through the setup. :nervous:

Oh and all the connection is a 100% done in the hypergaph, which before I did it in the front and side views.

Right now I'm doing math expressions for the backbones, which is alot of this kind of stuff, BackRoot.rz = 0 + BackBend.rz;.

Anyway here another pic:

Hey I saw on the bone connection you got the tumb bone connected to the elbow area. Do you find it better connecting it to the elbow instead of the wrist?

Hey guys,

NNY Design,

Yeah its still very much dark. I went to a friends to see what my images look like on his pc, and it is very dark. I found out that mac are brighter then pc! So I'm buying a pc!

DgAPc,

There are 3 bones there, and the thumb is not connected to the elbow, it just looks like it, it connected to the hand bone, with all the other fingers.

Here better view of the 4-arm:

Well, the other reason for me getting a pc is more power, as the pc don't cost as much as the new power mac G5!

Just this kitchen scene I'm working on take wayyy to long to render! Like 10 min a frame, and I want to render a movie about 5 min long, and that on my mac would take a week! And that on resolution size 320x240 and the low quality anti-aliasing!
