Beer glass scene creation

I usually just create a render layer with a material override. With the material, I connect a ramp to it's incandescence, with a planar projection node. I scale the projection node to the scale of the scene/object, and change the ramp to black to white. This allows me to see the zDepth in the viewport.

pixels depth imformation

Hey

Is it possible to find the depth information of every pixel from a scene and store it ?
I'm using Maya.
