Brian, you're doing some great work. It's probably been asked before, but I missed the answer. What are you using to render such nice images through maya?
Mental Ray?

Thanks buddy,
George

GI_Joe! Think its hard to tell the difference between GI_Joe and MR, Guess MR is Better because It is True GI and It Does Color Bleeding. user added image But I like to stick with GI_Joe because it seems to render faster. At least for me it does! Another Update comming in a few min!

Well, it's different, but I like it a lot. You really need to do a tutorial on building one of these things user added image Do you use the bevel tool to get those rounded edges?

Thanks Brian,
George

nope, just take the outer edges, and extrude them in a bit, convert it to Sub D's, then select those outer edges, and make them have a partial crease. user added image Hey, I have an hdri version n a few min comming up that i think looks alot better!

LOVE it dude!!!

Yeah, GIJoe renders WAY faster than MR for me as well, that's why I've been using it toouser added image

Plus, even using the fake HDRI option, there doesn't seem to be a render-time hit for that either....

I love it!
