it looks like a blimp with giant engines at the side... although in your case they are docking bays

it looks sweet man

Cheers Chirone! It is looking a little like a blimp at the moment, once I've got the shape sorted I'll get to work making it a little less blimpy....
And maybe post a shot from another angle!
If I did that now there'd just be a blob on the screen, not done anything to the back half yet.

Dango, you seem like a machine at how you turn out work. But a good job at what you do. Nice! You do enjoy it and have fun, huh?

Challenge me and I will try. Because If I should fail, failure also has a prize (Knowledge).

Thanks for the comments everyone, I'm going to do my best to get all the modeling done over the next couple of weeks, I want to spend as much time as possible on the UV layout and photoshop work this time, I know that was what my last model was lacking in so hopefully it'll be a bit better this time around!

Also, anyone know how to add the medals to your profile? Couldn't find anything about it in the FAQ's.

you got a reply to your pm - check there.

Yer the texturing is something I want to get right on this one - I feel like giving my first challenge win back with some of my texturing skills lately.

Cheers Tweetytunes, but didn't seem to work for some reason. Never mind, I PM'd mike to see what he says. Thanks anyway!

Scrap that, it did work after all, cheers all the more in that case!

Not got a lot more done yet, have started on one of the two giant turbine engines that sit above the ship, added the starts to the points where they connect to the ship, and am considering whether to put in another two sets of pod launchers under the ones that are already there. Hopefully get a lot done today!

Yep, I was looking at it and realized that it'll end up being a great big blob if I'm not careful, though I'd always planned on having the engines above the ship, if they're at the back you won't get to see them and it seemed like a waste of polys for an image like this.
Maybe not go with the extra pod launchers then, bit of a cheat for extra detail...

Though saying that I'm only at 163000 polys, so there's a lot more I can add...
