Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
I'm trying to figure out how to use an animated sequence on a plane. The first file in my sequence is called "ShotU_001.tga", and it goes up to 600. I was told all I had to do was turn on Use Frame Extension and the set keys on the first and last frame that correspond with the number of frames in my sequence.
However, as soon as I click on Use Frame Extension I get an error message "Warning: Texture file D:/...ShotU_001.tga.1 doesn't exist, node file1". Of course it doesn't exist when they start adding extra numerical extensions on the end like that. No software I've ever seen puts the numerical extension AFTER the file type extension. Not even Alias' own fCheck will do that.
Can anyone help me figure out a way around this mess, or tell me what I'm doing wrong?
