Animating a rotationg crank

I have been trying for two days to get this thing to work so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have modeled a crankshaft, connecting rods and pistons for a V-8 engine. All piviot points are centerd where there suppose to be. Ihave tried all sorts of parenting chains and constraints nothing seems to work. I want the crankshaft to rotate with the connecting rod following and the piston going up and down as a real engine does. Again any help would be much appreciated.

Maybe you can use Set Driven Keys? That should work

Set driven key would be the best.... Just set keys for the positions of the pistons. So when he crank shaft moves the pistons will follow.

Theres a great tutorial in the free tutorial section of this site. It is the railway track SDK example and will really help you out I think.
