cutting out a section of plane

ok as in the below picture i need to cut the selected plane so it only covers the central circle..

Im applying a water type effect to this plane (turbulence)


everything is made of polys.

help is greatly appreciated..

Well, explain more what you want. Do you want them completly removed, or seperated so that you still have them the mess with.

all sorted..did a boolean and selected the inner frames face ...deleted it then it left me with a plane with a cutout of the shape in the middle....deleted all the outside faces and walla..

so far so good..and tariqrf, thanks for all your help..it did help me a bit..

um. Theres easyer ways to do it. But doing things your own way is the best way i find.
