Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

best renderings ever done by me using final gather... according to me

These are one of the best rendering i have done on MR... no lights!!!!!! only two poly planes with the incandacense level set to maximum.... and about the car... it was actually a game model... not mine... i souped it up to make it a high res car... all the details added by me... b4 its was only textures... and the wheels are completely mine!!! muahahaha

Nice!

Nice rendering, on the second pic it looks like you could of tweaked the min max samples up a little, there seems to be some blotchy artifacts on the ground?

How long did it take to render?

here is another i got by playing with the poly planes

:Edit:

Facts about the FG of this one:

Rays: 7000 (hell yeah)

when I am messing with MR - I created a scene 1 plane, 1 sphere and 1 cube. created a nurbs sphere with a bit of incandescense and used preview final gather.

It looks good apart from the fact that there are no shadows? In your scene there are shadows - how do you get that look?

cheers

take a look at this example... here the poly plane (with a lambert shader and incadasence level set to maxiumum), it acts like a source of light.. (attached image)
