Ankalagon..what you are seeing in the render is a proxy poly smooth mesh, I will post an update soon it's starting to look real cool user added image

you did not use any special render or lighting setup or hdri map or so?just shaded mode....?

it was rendered with one directional light set to 1.7 intensity and that is all....
