it would not 'fill hole'.., so i extruded it.., at least i got quads that way.., ill save this out and keep moving and if this may bring up problem i cant see yet in the future i can go back.., if i can get a grip on the verts thing??
yes i do. and more, garden.., how it was built .., being stages.., might composite myself into it walking about giving a lecture about.., you guessed it.., ME.., (you did guess it didnt you?? ).., a far more interesting subject than this magnificent building dont you think???
funny thing.., now when i select a vert i get a whole cluster??? and i havent made any at all???
even in a different project its happening.., and i just did a repair on it.., ??
i took the project to the mac and there is no problem there??
and for the sake of it heres one of the renders from th mac just now.
Just to put your mind at rest , of course you can extrude them in as I only did it the other way because it would create less polys but in this case it really doesn't mattter. You are left with a hole in the center of the roof but that will not be seen once the dome covers it so it's not going to effect the final model.
thanks John.., just wondered if it might be a hassle down the rod somewhere
what other works have you looked like this before.., i mean your own stuff if you dont mind me asking.., seems a like a project of love here ??? beautiful building without doubt.
I did model my house inside and out before I built it to help with the design , but other than that I prefer to model other subjects, The Taj Mahal was something that needed to be modelled as it is quite unique and I thought others might also like to model it.
Of course before I modelled it I studied it for a day or so , collecting lots of references (i think I have about 80 or so) and reading about it to gather any info that might help with the modelling.
Before undertaking any model, even a ficticious one it's worth taking the time for a study before hand and ultimately it will help speed the process of modelling.
A little bit of thought goes a long way as they say ...hehe
I was thinking of modelling the House of parliament in London, lots of detail there and a huge task.
