Circular Fillet out of place...

My circular fillets are out of place. If I make, let's say a sphere and then try to circular fillet a cylinder inside, the fillet will be inside the sphere. I tried messing with the checkboxes and with the tolerance. Any tips of in-depth tutorials are appreciated.!

you need to check that the normals are facing the direction you want the fillet to take place, in your case they probably aren't since your having problems. here in the screenshot below to demonstrate, you need both objects to have the normals facing the right direction.

the example shows the cyclinders normals already facing outwards, if they aren't (like the planar surface) then you need to reverse the surface normals (Edit Nurbs-> Reverse Surface Direction) you can view the normals via display tab- nurb components
