Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I am trying to build a Backhoe and loader but there are hardly blueprints on the net and the ones that are - are nt the model I look for - I want JCB Backhoe - from the 80s

In the meanwhile , have a look:

Will be quite a challenge to constraint all the parts here...

Take a look:

Thanks Undseth,

A friend's wife said she can't figure what we (MEN...) see in these creatures.. and she couldn't possibly understand why I take the time to model them.

Nice work! I think, what we see is the sheer beauty of power, all that raw pure energy...and of course, they DO look neat.

The cabin has nothing to do with the real model but It was Maya who didnt let me do a simple loft - will be corrected sometimes

still in progress, though

some more work - starts to really look nice but as you see - the driver's cab is not ready , the joint screws are way too big and many more details and hydraulic pipes are to be added

changes the annoyingls big screws in the backhoe - looks much more real.

also reduced the tires reflection and rotatated the front wheels
