Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Typically me, I just decided that I want to be able to open its mouth, so I just wasted 20 mins of UV work, but hey, it might look cool with an open mouth.. atleast I will now have the option, right ? user added image

Ok .. after making the beak "solid" - heres the new UV map.

Now I had to take a different approach to the UVmapping, so instead of the planar projection I decided to separate the beak from the head in the UV map, to make it easier to paint the texture..

Thats a much nicer layout. Should make texturing more intuitive. Plus the model is looking great!

Yeah, good job! The model is looking great - very clean and simple - and the parrot colours are spot on.

I am out .. I wont be able to make it user added image .. Tight deadlines killed me time at home for 3D - and basicly I wasn't in the mood for 3D when I got home from work :/

So I am am out - VERY GOOD LUCK to the rest of you .. you are doing great stuff user added image
