Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

New Car

actually an old car just a new project

going to do a very detailed model hopefilly close to the real thing intension is to make it panel by panel then "weld" it all together as would be the real thing .i know will mean lost of waisted polys but i'm not after keeping poly count down user added image

i won't name the car yet see how long it take before it's recognised .hopefully won't take long ..i hope user added image

Its gona be a 1972 ish ford escort 2 door final i'm hopeing to give it a "used" look {some textureing practice} few dents and rust

nice model ! looks like it's gonna be quite realistic... on the first pic it already looks like it's a real piece of the car...


are you going to model the engine too? I guess this is a Nurbs model ???

jornkes, it will have an engine actually there will be a few engines as i'm planing of doing a few versions, standard and rally, i'll aslo be doing all the interior hopefully user added image

nope actually i used some nurbs for the plugleads other than that it's all poly

right made a start on it's engine, lots to do to it yet but it's a start. made the grill, and hinge plates

this is really pleasing.. a nice classic car, rebuilt by a car specialist!!! this is going to look awsomelly realistic...
do you use blueprints or do you own one ?
