Mental ray for mac

There seems to be an issue with Menal Ray and Mac Os X. When opening the Hypershade and selecting create mental ray nodes, only one nodes of all shos up, the Miscellaneous mentalrayPhenomenon, non of the material shaders or lights..... is this a common issue for all Mac Os X Maya users or it is only a sporadic case?

Thanks

do you see the "create mental ray nodes" I think by default is off, you have to change the setting in the maya.env file

Paste the following in maya.env

MAYA_MRFM_SHOW_CUSTOM_SHADERS = 1
