Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Yes Josho..the render is crap...BUT THE BLOODY robot...is a pearler...absolutley spot on. You too have the "toy" aspect looking well, some great models on here...and yes I realise the 'quality' of the dimensions are good on modern toys...but IMO I belive simple toys and shapes wins the day...unless its a train set., then who gives a shit....detail it is.

Mate, for a bloke thats been away for a while, this is a nice effort, keep it up man...dont stop...nail the damn thing to the wall.

cheers bullet

Another test/draft render of my latest progress. I enabled iray, set-up an hdri enviroment, used one large mental ray photometric area light, and let it render for ~ 15 minutes;

Link to full-sized render.

Thank You so much for extending the deadline :-D !!!

I've still got a lot to work on; mirroring over, fixing mistakes, adding details, creating a lighting set / attempting to make a nice composition, toning in photoshop, etc. <-- if I even get to any of that 8^D .

Thank You Illuzt, Acid, Bullet, Chirone user added image , I appreciate it!
I've been using the "mia_x_material." (attempting to go with a linear/gamma correct rendering set-up).
And an hdri image for the environment (get some extra lighting from it, reflections, etc. ).
