Help with city(soon to be a WIP)

hey i have a city i started to make but... i wanna know how to make the water when it comes to it... its alittle island still needs a ton of work on it.. the land its self hasnt been shaped yet... so...

You want to make it look like water that hits land and creates foam or? Or do you want it to look like it got different depths?

I think you need a tutorial to simulate that (well for depth just create a ground beaneth the sea) but water crushing on beaches rocks are far above my skill level. user added image

Think that theres a flam attribute in the shader, might be worht a lookin the help files for it?

Or maybe get one of the examples form the visor and reverse engineer them?
