Sad news

Hi guys,

I'm afraid I'm the barer of bad news today, for those who knew him, my friend and fellow Simply Maya member Old hippy Tom has died. He had liver cancer for a while and it finally was too much.
I just thought those of you who had chatted to him and exchanged comments should know, and could maybe leave a few words here if they felt to.
R.I.P Tom, one of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure of talking to.

Although I never spoke to him here on the boards, he was still great guy.

My heart goes out out his family.

That just blindsided me. He was one of the friendly helpful people that make SM a cool place to hang. Rest in peace Tom.

Damn that has knocked me senseless!!

I never knew that he was suffering, he always seemed like one of those members who would have look in every so often, show some stuff he'd been working on make a few comments on others work and then disappear for a bit to get on with something new.

Thats a real shame, my sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Rest in Piece sir.

Jay

I used to love his sig

"Challenge me and I will try. Because If I should fail, failure also has a prize (Knowledge)".

Always helpful, with a great sense of humour - will be missed around here.
This is hitting me quite hard with everything I just went though and makes me even more thankful I`m still here.

That's so sad to hear. My condolences to friends and family. I loved his millenium falcon model that he entered in a competition a while back. I'm sure he will be missed by all. Just going back through that thread I remembered how pleasant he was, always saying Good morning and things like that, even though we're spread all over the world... user added image
