This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
this is a bus. the wheels on the bus go round and round.
(from the film)
(though people and suitcases will inhabit it, and the chairs and posts will kind of float around to give a feeling of motion)
the outlines are rendered using tomcat cartoon shader
the actual shading is done using a ramp shader with scanned acrylic painting and ballpoint pen croshatching camera projected on. everything changes frame to frame. nothing is done in post except color temp and suchlike. here's what it looks like in motion: https://www.grinningidiotfilms.com/shadertest.avi
