change navigations keys and grey view port

Is it possible to write a script that changes the navigations keys? So I can pan with alt+shift+click and zoom with alt+ctrl+click ?

And one other thing, this maybe is in the wrong section. But this is rally bugging me. Sometimes when I've zoomed in and out much i a view port for example the top view. Why all sudden gets all gray? Even tho I hit both "a" and "f" to fit the view port.

The only way I've been able to solve this is to create a new top view. Is there any other solution?

Thanks!

Well select your camera/view and select camera attributes(I think its under view or something) and change far/close cliping to something high and low so that it want cut out parts.

On the first question, cant you just bind zoom to another key?(going to look into that when I get home)
