Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Safari man

Hello all. This is my first attempt at making a person. I hope it's good. I need to add some more detail to the clothing and give him a rifle.

Hehe ... I like the overall design! You've got some good basic forms making him up but you topology looks a bit screwy particularly on the head and more specifically around the nose, eyes and cheeks.

Post a screen capture with a clearer wireframe.

Great first attempt!

Hey Some Guy

If I were you I would use the current head as a reference to re-model it using about a tenth of the polygons it has now. Theres just way too much chaos in a mesh thats much too dense. Your character has potential, but IMO you're gonna have to back track a bit to get a nice clean result.

Nice model, but Iwould like to throw some criticizm your way.

First- The face, please, when you model a face, you really need to ouse the edge loop principle. If you do not know what that is, tell me and I will attatch an image of edge loop example.
If that would mean redoing the face- fine. I really am surprised the smoothed mesh actually looks ok, no offense, the base mesh is pretty bad.

2nd - The fingers are too spindly and out the middle finger is too short. And you might wawnt to smooth the monaclce with the hi res model.

Thats all I have to say.
