personally i think pigtails mae a girl look really childish, which i suppose is the look you're going for?

by the looks of things the hair is currently a surface that has been a victim of the rake tool in zbrush?

Chirone: erm no.....just my own alpha. The pig tails are a replacemnet for her jesters hat. The idea is to have a psychotic girl, its not all hardcore

gster123:
cheers mate

Rhetoric Camel: Thanks, the hair will be poly with a map. Then retouched in PS, its just a one off image so....

THX1138: Cheers. The space pirate stuff is on hold for now as I need a break from it, its been constant for that project for 3-4 years...

cheers

Hey mate, what Material do you prefer to texture on, I cant seem to get one that makes a nice representation of the final map in maya, always need to do a bit (quite a bit) of a correction in PS

Hey Steve

I just use the standard grey or the toy plastic, the white plastic is probably the best for the intial process. When I want to see it in a better shader that simulates skin I just use something that looks okay.

hope that helps

Yeah thats what I use too. I some times switch to the flat shader just to see any gaps.

Hoping that 3.5 has more texturing possibilities.

Give her Fairuza Balk hair from when she did The Craft, she was pretty psycho looking in that one.
