Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

FUR SEAM PROBLEM

I have a dog model & i applyed fur to it, but there is a seam problem at UV cuts. I'm not getting a continuation of fur on the model, a cut is visible. Is there a way to paint or do something to make it look continued.

Basically the uvs need to be of the same size in those areas, fur works off uv size and placement hence your problem, its basically similar to how a texture map works. Try creating a simple texture map and get the uvs bang on squared and seamless with as little stretching as possible then try again.

once you have gotten it looking good just brush the direction of the fur to cover up any other minor seams

cheers
