wow nice work! cool that you're going all out on the detailing. curious, but what do you intend to do with the model that makes use of this heavily detailed interior?

thanks guys, JasonA: I am using this as my second model for my demo reel, so it is going to be a detailed as possible.

In the future I plan on using this model in a personal project. Well thaks for the positive feedback. Here is a small update. I finished one of the panels on the top and added the screen to the front gate.

??QUESTION?? Does anyone know why in some instances if you do a bolean both objects disappear? I have run into this problem a few times but have been able to step around it for now.

thanks,
Kassun

cool work, what are you lighting the scene with? Photons or Fake GI?

The tank is great. There is only one crit i see, but if it's the look your lookin for then inore me. I think the main gun should be bigger and longer. Most tanks i see have bigger barrels. But great job. Lot of detail done to it. Can't wait to see it textured.

The Bradley is not a tank. It's an Infantry fighting vehicle, basically what the military call a 'battlefield taxi'. It's role is to carry troops safely, deposit them to secure ground and provide suppressing fire. In it's 'vanilla' role it carries its troops (6 men plus 3 crew) to a position, providing fire, the troops then disembark from the rear doors, run round and advance and it provides support fire for the assault. The British Army uses the Warrior IFV which is similarly intended. It does have other roles including scouting etc but that's it's main purpose. In development terms the use of this sort of IFV and tactic is fairly new in post ww2 terms - prior to that armoured infantry had less protection and less firepower at their disposal; the introduction of these vehicles gives infanteers the opportunity to integrate their ride into the battle.

As such the M2 does not need a tank gun; it packs the M242 25mm Bushmaster single barrel chain gun that fires either 200 or 500 rounds per minute as it's main arm. That's a lot of suppressing fire.

The model reflects that and looks pretty in scale to me. If it had a tank gun it would need a different turret and crew / passenger section (most of a turret is 'in' the tank on a tank) and the benefits of heavy suppressing fire would be lost - when supporting an infantry assault you want bags of fire laid down quickly and these armaments suit their job pretty well.

Really nice work btw.
