Wax Shader (subScatter)

Where can I find an EASY TO USE subScattering / Translucence shader to best help me render a model to look like wax?

I have seen several shaders out there on pixho and the like but they are MEL script based and hard to understand and use.

Is there a shader out there that will work with Maya 5.0 and / or Mental Ray that will be easier to use without a PhD?

Thanks.
