n particles, sounds really good! Thge animation layering will be a great help for maya animators as its awesome in motionbuilder.

Just checked (even though its not released yet) and its not on the autodesk subscription center

Hey there Steve,

how's it going?

Yeah, not sure when it's coming out but there are some very nice features in the new release, amongst other things, I quite like the sound of the stereoscopic camera.

Take it easy,

Particles are the biggest update, it will be exciting to see how much they change, its about time you can change particle states.

Big update is the maya assets, im excited to see how much that builds on the issues with the existing referencing system. Container nodes will be fantastic as well.

Render proxy sounds wicked, cuts out alot of manual work if it just swaps geometry and textures and render time for you.

Yay, much needed stuff, so much more impressive than the 3ds max updates.

Personally tweak mode will be a fantastic tool for those used to modelling in lightwave, mirai/wings 3d.

all they need now is the render region tool to work in viewports, and a website that shows off the features in a cool way

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

WOW!

I like the sound of the new features. Especially the Workflow enhancements. The Pre-selection highlighting. Tweak mode... man thats gonna be sweet. I use another modeler called silo, and it sports all these features, and it's so sweet, can't wait to see them in maya. Too bad I won't be able to buy a copy... I just got through paying for 08 user added image I'll see if they have an upgrade option.
