Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

Best Book/DVD Tutorial for Learning Maya

Hey Peeps,

I'm a noob here and a noob at Maya.

I your humble opinions, what is the best book/dvd tutorial you can recommend for getting up to speed in Maya?

Some background: I'm a 2d Designer and I am trasitioning into the world of 3d.

I'm going to have to recommend The Game Artists Guide to Maya- by our very own Mike Mckinley. But of course it depends on what you want to end up doing. That was a cool choice for me though.

I've had a 2d background too, and I do think it helps. Good luck! user added image

Mike's books you can get them on Amazon. Try some of our latest free tutorials if you like them please conceder buying some! All of our stuff is projected based so it's pretty easy to follow along with.
