Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Dango77-Spaceship Challenge-The Unity (Of Grubs...)

Couldn't wait to get started on this challenge so here's a brief description of what I'll be going for:

A race of giant telepathic Grubs from outer space are coming to our planet, to invade us! War is afoot!

They are half Grub, half machine, (a bit like the borg really....)
They have a main pod like ship each that they "plug" into, becoming at one with it, and each pod ship plugs into a mother ship, the Hive (I know Grubs probably don't live in hives but they are from outer space and don't know that themselves...)
But does the mother ship plug itself into something?.... Something bigger.....

I'll be getting something started towards it a.s.a.p, and I'm going to love this challenge!

Rhetoric Camel and Arran: Thanks both of you for the comments, hopefully it'll come out good, I'll do my best.

Have been working on the Grub Carrier, have got more to do on it, then I'll start on the Grub Pod. Having so much fun with it so far!

Cheers Arran, I don't know about that but I'll do my best!

Have got a bit further, just trying to work out where to add wings, thinking of having them like the imperial shuttles in star wars, and have them fold down and slot into a docking system in the Hive, just have to see how it goes though...

Hey Chirone, Thanks for the comments, I have a fair idea of what the overall mothership will look like, and how the pods will join with it, it'll definitely involve the wings folded down and attached to the mothership.
I knew I'd need to rig the pods for docking purposes so I've just learnt how rigging works, and rigged the pod!

This is close to how it may look docked, with clamps holding it in place.
