very nice model!

c + c : if you want the edges to look rounder or some to be rounder and others to be crisp open up the options for polygon>smooth and play around. Also you can select polygon>normals and make them harder or softer which can change how they are computed when smoothed.

another idea is to convert the rough poly mesh to subds and crease or partially crease edges you wanted to maintain.

I'm being pretty damn nit picky as the model is very clean. I picked out only a couple of places where the edges didn't look 100 percent parallel or curves had a corners. the front bumper was one. mostly those wouldn't be visible in a render anyway I don't think.

so i'm trying to pick things out to be helpful but you sure didn't leave much there to critique. Let's see a render with a proper shader!

hi, sorry to tell , i put it here for critics

hi,

ereitz, thnx for suggestions....and tips.(very nice) i'll surely check it out cos previously i was always assuming that poly smooth is gonna work same on all the edges.... anglle or hardness really doesn't matter, now i'll try to practice this...

olivermagno , hope u r here to see prob.

so guys... thnx

i have got some nice images with gi joe type thing , but i prefer to do more manual and i am working on it..gonna update very soon
about model i know vipers r mainly missing.

while doing reflection work i am getting a prob and i have post it texure, forum, but now here u 'll have to bear sorry.............

k, i put env. ball in reflection, everything works fine

but i want car to reflect only where its surface is more perpendicular to camera, so i involve a sampler info node. but then maya won't render. even showing in viewport.......
i tried with another shader with some different settings but still won't get that.....

hope some one plz. see images of shading network and plz help me outl....

thnx emo , an update

hi everyone and thnx

emo, that shader really helps in solving prob.
i was mixing refltivity and reflected color togeather..
now closer to look i was expecting

just see that mirror shader was missing, i 'll fix it next time.

right now, for fast testing, one ambient and two spots lights..

to me most scaring thing are head and back lights cos i'd waste most time to model interior............but now for shading its really hard ...........so temp. i am using flat textures......hope i'll finish that soon.......

thnx every body and plz. critics and suggestions for improvement..
