Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Maya2017 and Arnold

Hi Chaps,

I installed Maya2017 a few weeks ago and have been working on an animation, Problem is that i just cannot work out how to get Maya to render the animation. I can do a single frame but nothing else.

Any suggestions?

Cheers Mith

I read on message boards that if you don't want to purchase the batch render Arnold license (for $700), you can render an image sequence.

I haven't, but have you given that a try?

You can render animations via the new "render sequence" option (its under rendering in the rendering menu set). It's not a batch render though so not only do you have to have Maya running and eating up resources, it'll also lock up the program, grinding any work you're doing to a stand still. They just want you to get a taste so you buy Arnie. user added image
