Thanks for the welcome, I've been looking at the gallery and some of the examples are very impressive to say the least.

The task of learning and using Maya becomes more daunting, the more you explore it's vast features.

Hi everyone,

My name is Deni and I live in Croatia, Europe. I am currently working as a web designer, but I've always loved 3D and stuff that comes with it. I am self-taught and right now I'm learning Maya and ZBrush tools and to be honest I'm in love in both of them.

I am still an amateur (still struggling), so I hope to learn a lot from experienced users here.

With the kindest regards,
Deni

Welcome Deni
This is most likely the best place to start with maya, the forum is a bit slow at the moment I think because of some bank holidays, hope to see you around ..........dave

Hello SimplyMaya!

Well, maybe I'm here a little bit longer, but didn't know about this thread until now. So, my name is John (19), I was born and still live in Slovakia, just finished high school. I've been learning in Maya for about 1year now and the most of the knowledge about this app I've learned here. So, I'm very thankful to all members who are willing to help and got a patience with such a noobs as I am lol. Guys, you are the best!

Cheers user added image

Hi. I've actually posted already before introducing myself, so here I am. I'm just starting out in Maya 2012. Considering taking the online course from Escape, the Maya bundle pack, still waiting on a call back from them though. You guys do some awesome stuff on here, or in Maya I mean..

First time poster, new lurker. I love the whole BBS support on Simply Maya, thank you for keeping it "retro" and real. 2D artist dipping her toes in 3D. Not so new to Maya but trying to learn more everyday, interested in modelling clean topologies (Sp?) and UVmapping. I'm trying to learn ZB 4R3 as well (from Escape Studios). Thanks and have a good day! user added image

Hey all user added image

My name is Jay and I work in the games industry as an artist. I am a concept artist but I do a little bit of everything at my current company since we are establishing ourselves.

Im joining here to have a port of call for help and advice in all aspects of 3D because whilst I have worked with Maya and Unity before and have a fair amount of knowledge concerning them, I am by no means an expert, coming from a completly 2D based background.

I want to make sure I enhance my skills and knowledge with the help of you guys so that we can make awesome games with awesome visuals (that work in some sense of the word :p) that you can enjoy user added image

Oh, and I love noodles. Nice to meet you all!
