HOW DOES THIS LOOK

hey me again i was just wondering if this looked good for only 1 nurbs sphere (well 2 sepereate ones for the eyes)

looking pretty good. Modeling with nurbs is a little bit different than modeling with polygons. You mainly work with splines and curves, and do alot of lofting. Primitives are mainly used to rough in a basic shape. Then you use a variety of nurbs tools to add detail to the model.
