Maya Letter "I" Bug???

Ok, when I use the bevel tool on text that i create the letter I always bevels in the opposite direction. What is up with that???

Yes, I realize that, but why is it that it only does it on the letter I???

Also how do i change my curve direction???

Select the curve. Execute Edit Curves > Reverse Curve Direction

Not sure why the letter "I". Could be something with that font. I've seen that before, years ago, in FormZ.

Oh, sorry pip. I am using impact font, but several others that i tried all did the same thing.
