2 button mouse

Hi, Unfortunately i have a 2 button mouse atm but am getting a 3 button mouse soon. Could I still use it for now?, Is there any other way to pan without the middle mouse button?

On the shelf, under general tab, there should be (among others) a button called Track Tool. It's icon looks like this:

Do you have a mouse wheel? it can be pressed as a middle button usually. That's what I use.
