Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Ok! my first simplymaya competition! I'll post concepts as soon as I make them. But I probably wont post any progress until after the term (2 weeks from now)

well, here is a quick drawing of a shine, or alter of my ancient civilization.

Im thinking of a culture that worships the circle, and spheres.

They are facinated by rotation, and cycles. Their architechture is centered on these themes, as they like to use twisted wood, and circular stone stuctures.

The shrine's center piece is a stone circle with a bar going through it, and another circle on the bar. The entire thing can rotate much like that thing NASA uses for space training... can't think of the name right now user added image

Well, I hope this is a decent start... I'll try to think up some more details and draw up some more concepts

Yeah, after I posted it, I was thinking it looked like stargate too...

I want to get away from that, so I want to have a lot more than just the alter...

So here is a concept of a hunting shack. Built like a more substantial teepee... it has a pinwheel roof made of wood, it can be folded up and put on a cart. The rest of the shack is made of some wood poles, and wood slabs for walls.

The door is canvas.

I might also model the cart that this still would go in (maybe parked outside)

nice idea. Might want to have one dismantled on a acart. An empty cart. and one assembled in the scene to convey its use.

Mate, nice concept.
A civilization who worships the sphere... hmmm... sounds cool.
I will look forward for progress.
Cheers.
