I know is that quiet late for guet in this competiton but I would like to try anyway.......
the problem is I don't know what to do........
to be honest my strong is not Maya....It's 3D studio Max.........
But this year I will stude maya so that a nice start point......even I will see all this in my course......some challenge is always welcome.........
anyway I need some help to decide with is more appropriate to make for this competiton.....
Also one question for moderator...

Is quiet on time so I was thinking if I can use 3ds Max to save some time........
But if not is ok I will try my best in Maya.......

from what i understand only part of the final has to be done in maya. Because there are some people who make their own images in photophop and altering the final image with other apps... but your going to need a mods ruling. Howeer i was allowed to participate in a challenge a while back here while i was using lightwave.

i say the third one looks god to me. although they all have similar feel to them, the third would be the best game figure.

I've merged your threads and given you a proper thread title. I've also designated you Noob. If you'd like to compete on Normal, let me know.

As for using 3DS Max, I, personally, do not mind. As Twisted mentioned, he was able to use Lightwave in the past. SimplyMax is going to be one of the next sites in the S3DW group and when it comes, it'll most likely take part in these challenges much like SM and SLW do already.

So, as far as I'm concerned, feel free. I'll ask Kevin for confirmation.

BTW, nice sketches! user added image

Looking good so far. user added image

Take a screen shot by hitting the Print Scrn button in the upper right of the keyboard above the Insert key. This copies an image of your screen to the clipboard. You can then open Photoshop or something similar, create a new file and press Ctrl V to paste the saved image. You can then save it as a jpg. It's usually considerate to crop the image and resize it so it's not huge.

Also, let me know if you consider yourself a "normal" or "noobie" class user.

So far, I'm tempted to bump you to "normal." user added image

Cool character, how do you plan on doing the hair, are you going to model it?
