Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

You get FCheck starting from maya?

I dont really believe that.

The right way to import 3ds (not .max) files into maya is

In Maya:

Menu File -> Import -> Select *.3ds from dropdown box.

If you don't see 3ds as a file filter you have to load the 3dsimport plugin (its included in maya) by

Menu Window -> Settings/Preferences -> Plug-in-Manager

There you should select load and autoload on 3ds-Import.

REMEMBER: The 3ds-Importer is part of the "Bonus Tools"-Package available through www.alias.com

FCheck was indeed popping up homes. But you don't have to believe me user added image

Reinstalled maya, no problems now. I also ran discwarrior.

Thanks to Pierre-Jean Lievaux for this simple suggestion.

"ok fcheck opens, but wait for to see the import, takes few minutes (according the mesh) long time to convert
if is not opération "import" realesed then,
I mean reinstall maya and bonnus tools after
I invoque Fcheck only outoff maya to see my pictures in .iff and animations
if the import call fcheck there is a bad operation, wrong way somewhere."
