Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

DVD news / poll

Hey guys

Right doing a quick poll here to see what you guys want (and please dont say car as it isnt done yet lol)

The next dvd will be the texturing one to go with the propaine chappie.

Then we have these options

1. Low poly game modeling DVD (by mikey)
2. Enviroments DVD (by mikey)
3. Skele modeling DVD (kurt) see images below

The skele dvd is fairly similar to the 1st modeling one although it shows how to do more detail on the character.

Now all these dvds are actually done - they just need to be sent away and pressed. Or would you prefer them as VIP like the apache?

Let me know guys... Oh also when the texturing is done on the fire guy there will be an animation dvd, but we may use a different character for this

so Take your pick at what you want and we will do our best to please... mikey is going to do a few screenys of the low poly DVD (its actually Toon Mike you will be modeling) user added image

Heres a couple of screens of the skele

Would you happen to be able to show any examples from Mikes Dvd's?? The environment one might be cool.
