Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Help textureing Lucifer..

ok a have a cuple of noobie questions. should I rig him befor texturing or the other way around,, OR do it make any difrence.

and I can edit the mesh after I start the textureing but I have to edit the UV's also right ??

You can texturing it before or after rigging. I usually do it before, but it doesn't really matter. The only difference is after rigging, you have to jump through a few extra hoops if you come to a point where you have to adjust the geometry.

Editing the actual mesh will not effect texture placement for polys, while it will for NURBS. The UVs are what controls texture placement, and they need to be edited to work for polys.
