Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

First Rigged Character

I have been working on this for a long time. About 1 year now. I don't have much time to do stuff so i just pick away at it when i can. Here is where i am at this point. This is a shot of my character even though he is only about 80% rigged. I still need to do the hand controls and add influences to get the body deformations just right. Most of the blend shapes are done for his face now. Feedback wood be very welcome!

Looking good.

Just a suggestion. Go to the persp camera attributes and go to the environment tab. Select the background color (default is black) and select middle grey.

You will be able to see more of the rendered character. Black background renders hide a lot of detail in shadow.

Nice little guy, I like him.
I would like to see the range of expressions you can get. How many blendshapes did you use?
Can you also show the skeleton info on this character?

Thanks

Thanks for all the comments. I will try to show all of the Skeleton stuff and the blend shapes when i have a chance. I have maybe 30 blendshapes which can be used in combination to get almost any expression i think. Also i will see how my renders look with the background changed to grey.
