Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Im 36 and have been doing 3d since I was 26, started with Strata on a Mac followed by Max then Lighwave (cough cough splutter) and the last 6 years been doing the beast that is Maya!!
Done P/S for 12 years though since V.3 and boy has it changed!!
I'm 23... I was feeling like this was old, but since starting my new job I'm feeling young again . Dunno how long this youthful feeling is going to last though, I started just last week and already I'm no longer the newest employee :eeek2:
When I was 17, in July of that year, we saw the first man ever to land on the Moon. 3D drawing, in the manner it is done today, with a computer was scarcely a glimmer in the future.
You have no idea how lucky most of you are to just have all of this technology available at your finger tips.
When I was 8, you could count the number of shows on television that were in color, on one hand.
There were no XBOXES, PS2's Nintendo's or anything close to that.
When I was 19, the IBM 360, a computer that took up an entire room and had to have its programs loaded with punch cards cost roughly $100,000.00 and had a whopping 10K of memory. You could run COBOL and Fortran programs on it.
There are many days that I wish I had been born 70 or even 100 years in the future from when I had been born.
