Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Scattering objects

Hello,

I need some help as I do not have experience with dynamics.

I have several objects in my maya project. I want to scatter them (without breaking them to pieces) as if they were affected by an explosion or very strong wind.

What kind of dynamics would it be best for me to try?

I would be thankful for every piece of advice: links to tuts or forum threads, etc.

Best regards!

you can turn your objects to rigid bodies and let them to be affected by fields, for example radial and gravity. or you can create particle emitter and gravity field and assign your objects to particles.

Hello again,

I have an issue with the rigid body simulation. Please help.

I have set up the simulation the way I wanted, saved it in several files. However when I opened it again today it is completely changed in all the copies of the file. What is going wrong???

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

I think that now I have an idea what is going wrong but don't know how to fix it.

I have used two fields to affect the objects radial and uniform.

Maya just doesn't calculate the uniform field. When I turn the radial field off the uniform works fine, but when both are active maya seems to regonize only the radial???
