This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Okay i have had enough of my PC

Im going to kick the crap out of it... :headbang:

anything i do in maya i can get so far untill my crappy graphics card kicks in.. ive posted twice on suggestions for a new graphics card but ive never come around to getting one because ive been really busy with exams in sixthform recently and busy with my crap part time job lol

If anyone could recommend me some system specs that will give me both good results in using maya and for gaming aswell please...

mike, kurt... possible you could post me specs of ur PC's?

i dont have the cash right now and im aware this is going to cost me a fortune to get something better than i have...

my current specs are:

AMD AthalonXP 3200 at 2.2ghz
2 * 512mb Crucial memory
Radeon 9600 256mb AGP 8x graphics card
mobo is a gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro 2

i only got the system last october for about £300ish

im open to suggestions for a decent system thats value for money.. i can build computers myself so it doesnt have to come as a package deal or anything unless its a really good deal...

thanks in advance and i hope someone can answer this prayer some day lol

I have an older Quadro4 980 XGL with 128mb. I've had the card for about 3 years and it still handles everything I've thrown at it, inlcuding games.

[edit] of course I don't play shooter's with all the bells and whistles on.

I'd love to have those specs. I'm on a 5/6 year old 677Mhz P3, 20GB Hard Drive, 128Mb Memory, GeForce 1 DDR card....

All pretyy embarrassing user added image One of the two reasons why i dont use Maya anymore (for now anyway).

Luckly i'm actually getting a new PC within the next 2 months. My budgets around £1,000 - £1,300 user added image

Who here rates MESH Computers. I'm buying from them.

Yeah, but no but yeah but no....
