This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

image display problem

hey guys. i am modelling a car and have set up 3 poly planes in the side, top, and front views. i have assigned the right textures to the right plane and all seems well in the perspective view.
the problem is that when i look in the side view, i am un able to see the placed texture on the poly plane. this is the same for the side, front and top. i have pressed 6 which should allow me to see the textures but all that happenes is that the plane goes white for some reason.

if this has happened to someone else can you plaese let me know how to fix it.

i would be greatfull for any help..

thanx

Could be an issue with your graphics card. I had this problem with my ATI card.

I did a google search and I found ATI and Maya don't work to well together. Once my models got more complex I found my PC crashing more and more often. In one morning it must have crashed like 30 times! I picked up a Gforce Nvidia 6600GT and no probs since.

It's a pain I know.

My 6 year old son's PC is running a Gforce FX 5200 and no probs with Maya!

Well that's my $0.02 worth user added image

Lucky, I don't think its going to be too easy for me to get a new graphics card considering the fact that I have no job and I'm only 16. but I'll find a way. user added image
