Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Tweetytunes - "Trapjaw" Horror Challenge

Going for a re-make of Trapjaw from He-Man.

Been planing to make this guy for years now and I think this challenge is perfect for it. He is one scary dude if you look at him closely (no jaw - no right arm missing legs ??? yet still fighting the masters of the universe) - although the cartoons always made him goofy.

Here is some ref but I have the toy in hand which is a great point of call and as I said going to redesign him a little just to leave my stamp on it. Really have a strong leaning to making him a women - don`t ask why I just think it would be cool.

I really love this version of him - just fantastic.

Hey Tweety,

He kinda reminds me of Mean Machine from Judge Dread in a way, the mech and human bits.

Yer just blocking the guy together at the mo.

Anyone know how to fix the problem with alpha gain not working with ATI HD 5450 (I bloody hate ATI - shitish card I have ever had) - Been trying to set up some image plains but its just not working - really pissing me off. Got the latest drivers and stuff but the alpha gain doing nutting

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!

I just brought a new Graphics Card, ATI FirePro v4800, specifically for 3D modeling, and now Maya is unusable! The viewport wont update at all, so you can't edit your objects!

I'm getting a refund and never EVER going with ATI again!

Anyway, sorry...

Model looks good so far, fast of the blocks as usual. I haven't even had a chance to put pen to paper for my concept, though I have some ideas floating around.

Anyway, nice modeling so far. Some of his features seem a bit sharp, but it's still early days.
