Another character (Nudity)

Hello everybody again. I have put my low poly charachter on hold because i am waiting on a copy of Photoshop.

Anywho... There isn't much to say about this modle yet, seeing as it is just a waist. It started as a 12 by 1 polygon cylinder and eventually turned into this. Have i done anything wrong yet user added image


Also, what is the best way to model a human? Should i make the entire thing and then add clothes or should i only make the parts you see?

Theres not really alot to comment on but anyhow - a couple of thoughts for you, if you are modelling a character, I find its usually best to start with the head as that way you can judge all your proportions from that even if its a cube shaped thing, also at this stage of the process you shouldnt be worrying too much about details like the belly button, instead concentrate on the blocking of the overall thing, get into a rhythm of block, shape, block shape until you are ready for the fine tuning...

I have been experimenting for a while trying to make humans but i cant seem to get it right. I have follewed a heap of tutorials but but i ussualy get a strange looking, badly made model.

For this moment i am just experimenting to see what happens in the end. user added image

Update,
I have almost finished the Torso. I need to make the area were the legs attach onto and that's about it.
The model o the left is poly and the one on the right is sub-divis
C&C are Welcome user added image



Edit: The shoulders look a bit weird but i have fixed them now.
