Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Ninja Turtle Virtuosity

I have a class project, well actually this will be my Thesis project in the next coming months. I saw the ninja turtle in the DL's section and wanted to do a short of it. So, after the past 4 or so months, I dissected the CRAP out of that rig, and re-rigged it for motion capture data, new shaders/specular and such. I think it should turn out to be pretty sweet.

Now your thoughts...

A tip: Use a better video compressor... 104 mb for 1 minute with that quality isn't very good...

Otherwise pretty neat, he doesn't do much though :p

One of the best and most used (also on many OS:s) is xvid or divx. Flashvideo (swf/flv) is also pretty good for showing online in the browser.

hmmm...

I think for the shadows on the turtle you should show them crisper. Given the hard light you have placed and the intensity of it. Right now it looks like the turtle and mat don't touch. Looks like it's floating.

Nice Work

Nice work. He appears to be floating though. Still, looks good.
