Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Thanks Steve!

I'd been putting off doing an organic for too long, but it's all a learning curve for me so I'm glad it's turning out as good as it is. But most importantly it's a lot of fun!

Thanks Anasasis, doesn't feel like it! lol!

Had to get some work done on another project so not done anything to my Villain for days, but made a start on him again this morning, got part of the torso of the suit done, and shoulder pad bits, which I will be doing some alterations to.
But nice to working on him again!

and I thought I was working slow on this one - haha only joking - looking good though.

Cant really see the benefit of taking the head to Z-Brush - does not look that different - but it does look good

Dango i really think that you are running from the organic modeling ... you could make the body and the armor made on the body ... buy yeah the body won't be in view but it will be good training !!!!

Nice work so far user added image

Tweety:
lol, yeah, I am being really slow on this one, got another project on and that ones paying so takes the priority, all I did in Z was refine the shape, did poly painting for the skin, and added skin detailing which I after realised is hidden by the glass of the helmet.
Thanks for the comments!

Coldwave:
Yeah, I might have done the body aswell if I wasn't doing two projects at once, but once this comps done I'm planning on doing a proper character (ie; no Armour!) so will get the practice in then.
Cheers for your comments also!

Little bit more done, pretty much finished the shaping of the torso section, going to move on to the legs next I think.

Torso shape and groin area finished, apart from extra detailing which I'll do once the whole body's done. Still got to sort out the shoulder pads, moved them and forgot to fix it, better do that next!
