Dude, if i've got this right, the rigid bodies are the diamonds!! I set up an animation for uni to see what they would look like animated!

Run the animation untill you get a nice frame then place your camera and render away. You should get some thing like I got.

Sorry about hte confusion I forgot that I did that.

Cheers

Hi I'm new to this forum.

As for dispersion:
the new version of l_glass shader has dispersion attribute, (I mean l_glass v2 beta version, not the 1.2 version) but boy it takes long to render!!!
Don't have time right now to play with it but you might try

Cheers

Sweet! Could you please post some details about performance of this render: the render time, settings and of course your machine?
Thanks

Those are some very pretty renders Falott. What is the l_glass shader, and where can I get it?

here are screen grabs of some settings I used. all in all you can´t don wrong with l_glas cause it´s a fancy tool. the to get the most out of your renderings the light setup is crusial. the shader lives from reflections so I made a box with lots of spotlights to get the reflections I needed. tweaking the light setup it took me about 1-2 days I guess.

just play around and watch out for good lighting tutorials, cause thats many times more important than the shadersettings.

and the light setup. in the renderglobals i turned down the reflections/refractions to 4 cause more increases rendertime and doesn´t even look so good. less is more.

I forgot to tell - I added a glare shader to the camera output settings to make the highlights glow.
