Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Looks good JS but could use some beveling.

hmm all the edges just look really hard and razor sharp. It still looks good. For instance the back of the main wing and the rectangular bit the gun is attached to.

I think the sharp shadows are a problem with scale. I'm not sure but this vessel could have a large crew and the ship could be very large. Without anything in the scene to convey scale it is hard to interpret how the edges should look from a distance.

to be honest guys this was a real quick slap together render just to view the model and i wasn't really creating a finished render.I should have realized you guys would critique it ..hehe and posted a finished piece.
Thanks for the observations though ,it is appreciated .
i originally made this model intending to turn it into a modeling tutorial but had issues with moving country and starting a new business ect and never got round to recording the tut.
